Passing on the pearls of wisdom I have collected from my own musical education and implementing them into my own teaching practice to see my students succeed is definitely the most rewarding aspect of my working life as a musician and educator.

Having developed my teaching experience across a range of educational settings, I work with students of different ages, abilities and musical backgrounds, from beginners through to advanced musicians. My teaching encompasses individual instrumental tuition, examination preparation, performance coaching and helping students to pursue wider musical opportunities.

Improper teaching can lead to unnecessary tension in the body and bad habits which can make tackling harder repertoire more difficult and, in some cases, contribute to injury. Achieving sound technique from the outset is therefore critical. As an educator, I instil these practices using an inspiring and encouraging approach, whilst supporting each student in achieving their personal goals — whether that is through completing ABRSM or Trinity graded examinations, pursuing further musical opportunities, or simply making music for personal enjoyment.

These lessons can either be held at my home, at yours or online (through Google Meet) and I offer a 25% discount on the first (of regular) lessons. For details about financial assistance, click here.
